CM/ECF
In order to participate in electronic
filing with the Southern District of West Virginia, you must have Internet
access and the following:
- Computer with 32 MB of RAM running
Windows or Macintosh operating system.
- Internet access of at least 56 Kbps.
High speed connections such as DSL will improve performance.
- The following browsers have been tested and approved for use with CM/ECF: Netscape 4.7 and 7.x; Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6.0. The following browsers have not been tested with CM/ECF but seem to work: Mozilla, Firefox and Opera.
- The following browsers are not compatible with CM/ECF: Netscape 6.x; Internet Explorer 5.0; AOL browser; and MSN browser. (Attention AOL users: The AOL internet connection will work with CM/ECF, but the AOL provided browser is not supported.)
- a PDF-compatible word processor like
Macintosh or Windows-based versions of Corel WordPerfect or Microsoft
Word.
- Adobe Acrobat 4.0 (or higher)
full-version to convert documents from a word processor format to
portable document format (PDF).
- Access to a scanner to image
non-computerized documents. (OPTIONAL)
